1965 Meets 2008....

Post by bluehtchbckdrv on Thu May 15, 2008 5:12 pm

Yesterday we took delivery of our 1965 Superformance Cobra Shocked

It is a Caroll Shelby Authorized body, and is therefore considered to be a true 1965 (apparently), and is there by exempt from current EPA regulations Laughing

Now....to the important stuff.....the drive train!!
It has a Roush 427SR with a TW Cam (produces more tq down low), which is mated to a Tremec T5 transmission. The exhaust sound is amazing.....

Well....thats all I got.....for now.....
Going away for a few days....I'll get some better vids when I return...I'm so excited!! bounce

So I guess the real question is; How did your dad like his birthday present?

He is in love....
The car is addicting. We go into the garage for like 30min and just look at it lol

Today was great.....first time we have driven it in a week (we were away for a week). We were making a right turn onto a street with a 50mph limit. We didnt even take off hard, but big lovely black tracks :-D It was awesome to feel the car just totally slide sideways lol.

We had a little photoshoot outside today....here ya go:

For those keeping track...This is a Aston Martin Vantage V8

Soooooo Nice.... Just wish I had most time on my road trip, otherwise I'd stop by to see those beautiful machines in person. I'm trying to convince myself to save up and talk my dad into buying a cobra kit car. Did you order it from Superformance? or was it bought from another owner?

Too bad you can't make a stop, but I live kinda out of your way...
You should deff order up the kit....the builds are apparently not too bad....

We bought ours from Superformance as a rolling chassis. The dealer we purchased from has another company called "Super Snake Performance" or something to that effect, and they did the drive train installation.
This was our dealer: http://dmautosales.com/

Thanks for the compliments though Smile
